Our Story
Compass Driver Education was created to provide more than information about road rules. It exists to help people understand the human factors behind unsafe driving, recognise the consequences of their choices and build practical strategies for safer decisions.
The name Compass represents direction, reflection and the ability to choose a new course. The program does not define a participant by their offence. It acknowledges the past while focusing on what can be learned and what can change.

We engage without humiliation, blame or judgement.
We encourage participants to own decisions and understand their impact.
We create space for honest thinking, self-awareness and learning.
We place the protection of participants and the wider community at the centre.
We communicate honestly and deliver our programs consistently.
We design learning that is accessible, culturally respectful and responsive.
We believe meaningful change can begin with one safer decision.
We document, review and improve our work.
Our Commitment to Community Wellbeing
Our work is designed to be trauma-aware, inclusive and culturally safe. We anticipate different literacy levels, abilities, backgrounds and levels of digital confidence, and we design every participant experience to be respectful, accessible and practical.
Our Programs
Compass Driver Education is the first program delivered under The Compass Foundation Australia, with further programs planned as the foundation grows.
Additional educational programs will be introduced under The Compass Foundation Australia as the foundation grows.
Who the Program Is For
[Client-approved wording describing the intended participants — for example, referral and eligibility circumstances — to be supplied by The Compass Foundation Australia.]
Participants are treated as adults throughout. The program acknowledges the past while focusing on what can be learned and what can change. You are never required to disclose personal details you are uncomfortable sharing.
Learning Objectives
Identify the factors that influenced your driving behaviour.
Understand how quickly risk can escalate on the road.
Describe the likely consequences of driving decisions for yourself and others.
Identify at least one realistic, practical change to your driving.
Turn insight into a clear commitment or strategy for safer future choices.
Your Journey
After enrolling and paying the full course fee, you work through a structured sequence of online lessons. Lessons combine clear educational content with short videos and images, and your progress is saved as you go, so you can stop and continue whenever it suits you. [Lesson and module structure to reflect the curriculum supplied by Compass.]
Short multiple-choice quizzes check understanding, and written reflection activities invite honest thinking about risk, consequences and responsibility. You can save a reflection, return to it later and submit it when you are ready.
Completing the online activities is not the same as final verification. When all required lessons, quizzes and reflections are finished, your work moves to a Compass administrator, who reviews it and formally verifies your online completion. You will be notified once this review is complete.
Once verified, you are contacted and allocated to an upcoming facilitated session. Sessions are arranged by Compass administrators and are anticipated approximately every two to four weeks depending on demand; you do not choose or book a date during enrolment, and specific dates cannot be promised in advance.
Log in whenever it suits you. Your lessons, quizzes and reflections save automatically so you can always pick up where you left off.
Reaching 100% online is reviewed by an authorised administrator before your completion is verified and a session is allocated.
Compass administrators arrange face-to-face sessions and contact you with your allocation, anticipated approximately every two to four weeks.
Your enrolment details and written reflections are handled securely and are only visible to you and authorised Compass administrators.

Selecting a participant opens their detail view: enrolment information, payment records, lesson completion, quiz results, written reflections, verification history and face-to-face attendance — visible to authorised administrators only. CSV export is permission-controlled and excludes unnecessary sensitive data.
Participants can never change their own verification status. Verification records the responsible administrator and a date/time stamp, and is separate from online completion, face-to-face attendance and final course status.
